How does an "Extern" account different from a regular student account?

When a student is enrolled with the Extern Plan, he is not considered an enrolled CLAA student.  His account is labeled "Extern" and he is prevented from accessing resources and services available only to enrolled students.

For example, Extern students are not able to enter the CLAA Studium study hall or live classes.  They are also not able to access certain resources and assignments on the Study Center.

Since Extern students have limited access to assessments, they are not eligible for CLAA certificates or diplomas.
