What is the CLAA core curriculum?
The Classical Liberal Arts Academy teaches the traditional classical Catholic curriculum, which has been developed and taught by wise men and saints throughout history.
This core curriculum in the CLAA is based on the seven classical liberal arts:
- Grammar
- Reasoning (Logic)
- Rhetoric
- Arithmetic
- Geometry
- Music
- Astronomy
These studies are organized into two main groups:
- The Trivium: Grammar, Reasoning, and Rhetoric
- The Quadrivium: Arithmetic, Geometry, Music, and Astronomy
In addition to the liberal arts, the CLAA curriculum includes:
- Philosophy
- Theology (Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition)
- Humanities (History, Literature, and Fine Arts)
The goal of this curriculum is the pursuit of wisdom and virtuous living through the study of truth in the classical Catholic tradition.
